Ford CEO Pokes Fun At Tesla During F-150 Lightning Production Start Speech

The 2023 Ford F150 Lightning is officially

produced at the manufacturer's Historic Rouge

plant and is considered just as important to the

company as the Model T. There were several key

announcements at the launch event, and Ford CEO

Jim Farley also mentioned Tesla in the talk. event.

Shortly after 31 minutes of Farley's speech

included above, he starts talking about the

F150 Lightning's two-way  charging capability,

indicating that it can charge other

electric vehicles. When Ford first announced the

F150 Lightning 10kW, they called it Smart.

The company's CEO is well aware of this,

and the reference to Tesla is no coincidence.
