Legendary comic book artist George Pérez dies after cancer battle

Jorge Perez, who worked for DC and Marvel and made him one of the most iconic comic book writers of

his generation, died Friday at the age of 67 after battling pancreatic cancer.

“George passed away peacefully at home with his wife and family for 490 months yesterday.

He wasn't hurt and he knew he was very, very loved. We are all very sad,

but at the same time incredibly grateful for the joy he brings to our lives.

Knowing George meant loving him and loving him again. fiercely and wholeheartedly.
