Most 2022 Chevy Silverado Trims Ditched 12-Volt Outlets

fficially debuted last September. However, customers looking to purchase the new 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500

should be aware that most trims no longer have 12 volt outlets.

Currently updated to include 12V outlets, the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 trims are WT,

 Custom and Custom Trail Bosses, all with 12V front auxiliary outlets (RPO codes). Kd5)

All other trim levels in the updated lineup are no longer available from 12V outlets

This contrasts with the previous model of the previous 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited and the nameplate of

 the pickup truck featuring a front 12-volt auxiliary outlet as standard on all trim levels. The older LT, RST, LT 

Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country trims also included a rear auxiliary 12 volt outlet (RPO cord, kPa),

 but this feature was not fitted to the WT, Custom or Custom Trail Boss. trim

However, the 2022 model year update now extends the availability of the instrument cluster, 120 volt outlets 

(RPO code KI4) and bed-mounted 120 volt outlets (RPO code KC9), both optional. Standard on the WT trim level

and all other trim levels. Both features were previously optional on the WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss

LT, RST and LT Trail Boss trims and were standard on the LTZ and High Country trims.
